Okay here we go...

Chris Rock was incredible. He handled the mountain of controversy surrounding this year's awards with unabashed confidence and had us doubled over laughing in his opening monologue. Truthfully, this year I didn't see that many of the films up for Oscars, but I always tune in for my favorite part, the red carpet.

As I've said before, you won't find a "worst dressed" list here, or even a best dressed list. The folks walking the red carpet at the Oscars are all wearing custom made/fitted/hand-picked and styled wearable works of art...nothing is "bad", okay? It's allllll good.

Regardless, here are my personal faves:

That color, are you serious? She's perfect. But peep these earrings:

Golf clap for her stylist. Those are perfection. I can't be eloquent.

Another green goddess. She just looks unreal. I love the simple earrings with this silhouette, as well.

Okay, I know she's going to wind up on the worst dressed list. But fuck that, she's ethereal and serving early 70's prom to me. And her hair and makeup - so subtle and soft, they add to the look wonderfully.

Another controversial pick. Kerry is consistently one of my favorites to look for at awards ceremonies. She looks good in everything, and I love this bold choice. Leather. Breastplate. As one of the only women of color at the ceremony, you can kind of take this choice literally, huh? Also, the pony is perfect, and is she even wearing lipstick? Doesn't matter, she doesn't even need it.

MAMA MIA! She's so perfect, I love this dress so much. Pregnant or not, it's perfect. I would have loved a low bun instead of her hair down, but I just love her. Perfect.

THIS is a fucking black gown. Perfection. Love the pop of color with the earrings. Love the deep part and low bun.

Favorite hair of the night. Also, Stella is allllways serving for red carpets, her stuff is amazing. Love this look on Olivia. Unsure about orange lip with orange dress (I might have gone dark maroon, or hot pink), but it doesn't not work, you hear?

Actual, literal princess. Love this dress. That's all!
