Hi friends! I am feeling the love over here in my little corner of the world wide web, and it is really nice. So, to catch you up on wedding planning, I met with Melissa last week, and we discussed all of the details I mentioned here, and decided that, yes, every table DOES need a set of vintage salt and pepper shakers. The craziness continues.

We also ordered Raven's suit last week! Normally one to go full steam ahead with any sartorial endeavor, I found myself scratching my chin a bit here. Not over the suit, but over the sheer vastness of men's clothing, of which I know...not much. I know overall what looks great, but specifics, like where to get Raven's shoes, have been a mystery to me. I also don't have a flushed out picture in my mind of what everyone's going to look like on the day. My job is to envision how everything fits together, but again, I'm a little stumped. I'm hoping that my fashion sixth sense as well as our determination that everything be affordable to the bridal party means that everything will be off the chain. Normally, I am correct in my assumptions (not cocky, just bein' real).

Here's what I'm thinkin: Raven and I tossed around the idea of a plaid suit, a grey suit, and a black suit, but ultimately we decided on navy. I was going to put all of the guys in navy suits, but since none of them have a navy suit, we decided that black is the most practical, especially if they're looking to buy. Now we have this awesome navy and black palette (I'm rubbing my hands together mischievously because I know that not everyone will love it because it doesn't "match") that made the rounds during awards season, and I was feeling it.

Oh! And we're doing brown shoes! Don't question it, just go with it. Raven is not a shiny black shoe kinda guy. He's a suede chukka kinda guy, so we'll riff off that and see what we can come up with.
