cait + mike : engagement style

You may have noticed a few breathtaking photos of a couple galavanting through Charleston on my Instagram...

Can I just talk about these two for a second? Cait and Mike are both personal trainers (insert heart eye emoji here), and are two of the sweetest souls on the planet. Working with them was a blast - and even though I was DYING that I couldn't be on-site for this shoot, I absolutely adore the way it turned out.

Would you believe that I've never met Cait and Mike? Mmm hmm! Even though I feel like I know them, and I know their style really well now, all of our work was done over the phone, via email, and text. So, it doesn't matter if you live in Italy or San Francisco or next door in Astoria - we can make it work! A little peak into the original concept boards:

Can you EVEN with these two? Because I. Cannot.

If you've even got an inkling about working with a stylist for your engagement shoot, give me a shout: allie@allisonkoehler.com. I'd love to love to hear from you!

junebug weddings feature!

Hi, friends!

Thanks for all of your kind words and sweet messages following last week's exciting announcement! I'm really excited for what's to come and your support means the world.

Today, I've got some more exciting news! Our Coney Island Anniversary shoot is featured on Junebug Weddings!

Craig's shirt via Shopbop, Dress via Nanette Lepore

This shoot was so near and dear to my heart for a bunch of reasons, least of all having the opportunity to style one of my best friends, Courtney, and her husband Craig.

The team for this shoot was incredible - everyone gelled beautifully and the outcome was even more beautiful than I anticipated.

When Lindsay and I first discussed the concept for this shoot, she mentioned simple, all-about-the-couple, with a few choice vendors, in an amazing location. So many shoots rely so heavily on details, and while that's amazing, it's also nice to just focus on the relationship of the couple. And with a backdrop like Coney Island? A win-win, if you ask me.

I immediately knew I wanted to dress C & C in super colorful pieces with an uber Brooklyn vibe. My inspiration for the shoot? Hipster Carney. A pork pie hat for her, cool stripes for him (thanks to Sock Hop!), and some incredible turquoise layered necklaces from Mociun

So incredibly pleased with the results and honored to be featured on Junebug today!

That's all I've got for you!
