one last time

Friends! I'm sorry yesterday was kind of a dud of a post. My mind is all over the place lately: the wedding, the move, Thursday's workshop, SPRING! I'm in a bit of a funk. Luckily, I have today's outfit in my back pocket for one last ode to winter...

This outfit is the perfect example of just figuring it out. Even though Ashley and I had put together what would be a beautiful shoot, when the week of the shoot rolled around and it was a high of 17 degrees, we had to rearrange the outfits. I quickly ordered the coat on super sale (NOW is the best time to buy for next winter!), and we scrambled to find the perfect dress and shoes.

During the shoot, though, we decided we loved the simple dress and snow boots, and left them on. I'm so happy with the way it turned out!

There's nothing better than testing out your favorite Fall purchases on a chilly beach in October. If you're wondering, the answer is yes I did change shirts crouched behind a car. On the real though, you don't have to dramatically change up your wardrobe every time the seasons change. Buy two stand alone pieces like I've done here and wear them all season long. Each of the above can be paired with a skirt, slacks, or blue jeans, with or without a shirt underneath. And that's not even including accessories. Just like that, I spent $150 on 2 pieces and gained 10 new outfits.
